HOMEWORK (OPTIONAL): Letter to Santa!

• You will want to work with NVC PART 1, PART 2, and PART 3 HANDOUTS:

  • Write your letter to Santa!

  • Specific to each thing you want (or a few of them at least), tell Santa:

    1. What you have been observing in your life? (include specific time/context)

    2. What is your current feeling experience?

    3. What is your need that feels unmet?

       • WORK WITH NEEDS INVENTORY AND MASLOW'S HIERARCHY OF NEEDS

    4. What is your request (strategy to meet the need) that he can bring you or that he could get a specific action to happen that would make life more wonderful for you!

• No need to be shy or worry about your response being received well. This is SANTA! No judgements!!!

  • Write 3 chief complaints, accusations, demands, grievances, or declarations. (Done in class)

  • For each one… write out:

    1. What is observable behavior or action? (include specific time/context)

    2. What is your feeling?

• Practice Separating Observation from Evaluation in your internal dialog about yourself and others

• Continue to work with Ancestors, as a group, or individually for help in your healing and growth.

• Continue to clear and heal negative biases and views of your family, being incarnated in the human family, or even just being related to yourself, etc that may prevent you from having direct contact and relationship with ancestors.

HOMEWORK In the next week:

• Soul Conference with ancestors and ask they join you in mutual forgiveness practice... (Use your forgiveness letting go gratitude script).

• Take notice when ancestors are showing up to interact and get a feel for how they interact with you and how you notice them.

• Take notice of the SELF (you) that shows up to interact with them and the space that self occupies. Is it clean? Is there baggage in the way of clear communication?

• See Module 14 Day 2 for September Homework (below). Continue to work with the Druid, improving your relationship to information, knowledge, and wisdom, & your relationship to leadership, judgements, and decision making, .

• Optional: Play with a Divination Tool or two and see if you can notice a difference in your connection and relationship.

• Optional: Work with the Life Cycle and the Sun Cycle in meditation to help you celebrate the shifting season as we pass through Autumn and move from the Life Cycle to the Death Cycle time of year.

• Work with Druid to assist you in healing your inner judge and bring your judging to a higher place and perspective.

• Work with Druid to help you start developing your information into knowledge, and your knowledge into wisdom.

• Work with Druid to open up more of your access to that state of the wise person who is curious and knows there is always more to learn.

HOMEWORK In the next month:

• See Module 14 Day 1 for August Homework (below). Continue to work with the Ovate, including your relationship to time and changes.

• Optional: Start creating your Altar. Start gathering the objects and other parts and pieces you want to work with on your altar and setting it up. If you don't want to work with a physical altar, can you internally identify yourself as the altar? Can you identify the energies and beings you are working with at this time in your year. Can you see what you have been working toward this year, how far you have come, and what energies or beings you have worked with the get there so far? Can you see what energies and beings you will be working with as the year moves forward?

• Optional: Work with the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth in meditation. Have them help you develop a deeper relationship with the cycles and wheels of nature.

HOMEWORK In the next month:

• Was anything confusing, unclear, or difficult from the Ovate class? Get into your curiosity and desire for clarity. Work in meditation with time to get insights, clarity, etc.... You can also work to get a story or poem to help you get clarity if this is easier for you. If anything is revealed that needs healing work, or if you feel stuck to even try, offer yourself a blessing to clear up any blocks to getting to the space of clarity.

• Optional: Get to know you book of law and practice with it for making changes.

• Optional: Work with Mother Nature and/or The Green Man to get a story, poem, artwork, or song.

HOMEWORK In the next month:

• Work with the Awen state. Ask for a story or a poem of your childhood that will help you understand or get information related to your purpose. (Note: the story may comes as a literal story from your childhood told from a different perspective, or it may come as a fictionalized story or metaphoric story.)

• For an added OPTIONAL bonus, you can ask for the story in the genre or style of your favorite story type, or ask for it in the characters of your favorite story.
